Diet Cream Cheese Mints Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Weight loss systemsThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system first suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books and publications. The Zone diet is not exactly a weight loss diet, although many people claim that they reduce body weight by following the zone diet. The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to limit the amount of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which puts your body in a balanced state that is much, much more wholesome than normal, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'. Sears alleges that when your body is in this 'zone' it is working at its best and, as a consequence, doesn't build up fat. The main method of the diet is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get high levels of Omega 3 fish oils. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet system started by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that dieters should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston invented this diet for his cardiac patients, as a result of his detailed study of scientific data on other weight loss systems. Good foods include, veal cutlets, chicken breast, shrimp, cottage cheese, pecan halves, nonfat yoghurt and certain vegetables, like black beans, cauliflower and water chestnuts. |
