Weight loss systems

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index nutrition system is based on the gi (or glycaemic index), a chart showing foods and a score illustrating the rapidity with which the energy in the food gets changed to sugar in the dieters body. The believe is that long-acting foods (ie those food types with a low Gi number), suppress your appetite for longer and help to eat less food without being miserabl;e.
It's also extremely effective for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI food types are beneficial in managing increases in blood glucose secretion.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet system created by Dr. arthur agatston, a cardiologist from miami, usa, which emphasizes the consumption of "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston invented his dietary regime for his cardiac patients, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific data completed on other nutritional studies.
"good" foods include, lean cuts of beef, turkey breast, clams, ricotta cheese, peanuts, nonfat yoghurt and certain vegetables, like butter beans, celery and turnips.

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
