The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet started by Miami, florida-area cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed the south beach diet for his cardiac patients, based on his detailed analysis of scientific research completed on other weight loss studies. "good" foods include, lean beef, turkey breast, clams, fat-free cheeses, peanut butter, lowfat milk and some vegatables, such as split peas, lettuce and turnips. Foods containing carotenes (includes carrots, kale and tomato puree) These orange and green healthy plants are rich in the carotenoids thought by experts to help in minimizing the chances of contracting, specifically of the the lungs and stomach. Many are also good for weight loss, so should be included in your weight loss program. |
