The Recipe Instructions

Ingredients

3 Cornish game hens - (abt 2 lbs ea), split in halves
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
1/2 cup Steeles sugar-free peach champagne
1/3 cup fresh lime juice
1 tsp grated lime rind
3 garlic cloves, pressed
3 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 packet sugar substitute

Directions

With a sharp butcher's knife, remove backbones from hen halves. Rinse and
pat dry. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

In a large bowl, mix jam, lime juice, lime rind, garlic, soy sauce and
sugar substitute. Add hens, toss to coat. Marinate 1 hour, turning
occasionally.

Prepare a medium grill. Remove hens from glaze; reserve glaze. Place hens
skin-side down on greased grill grate, not directly over heat. Cover and
cook 25 minutes, until no longer pink inside and juices run clear.

Put reserved glaze in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil for 1 full
minute. Place hens directly over heat source for 5 minutes, and brush with
glaze for a crispy skin.

Description:
"A brief marinating time tenderizes these little birds and imparts a
sweet-tart flavor. Removing the backbone ensures shorter grilling
time and more even cooking."

Weight loss systems

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index nutrition system is linked to the gi index, a chart showing food types and a score representing the ease that the carbohydrates of the food type gets transformed to sugar in your bloodstream. The claim is that slow release food types (ie with a low Glycaemic score), suppress your appetite and help you to cut down on food without starving yourself.
It's also extremeley useful for people with diabetes, as the low GI food types are useful in preventing rises in blood glucose levels.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
