Ingredients
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup snipped dried apricots
1/2 cup chopped dates
Directions
Cream together the oil and sugar. Add the egg. Then blend in the
remaining ingredients. Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly oiled baking
sheet. Bake in 350 F oven for about 10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack
and store in a tightly closed container.

Foods rich in flavonoids (inlcudes citrus fruits, cabbage, soya & chamomile) The nutrients called 'flavonoids' which exist in these fruits and vegetables are believed to be good as cancer fighters. This chemical is the reason for the dark red hue of some types of food. Usefully, unlike most other vitamins, this useful phytochemical is not damaged during the cooking process, but is genuinely improved by cooking. . Lycoprene's most interesting theraputic value is that it serves as an antioxidant and seems to help to lower the probabilty of developing cancer. Lycopene is the most efficacious carotenoid quencher of singlet oxygen, which is connected with aging of the skin. It is also thought by nutritionalists to hamper the development of atherosclerosis. |
