Diet Christmas Cottage Cheese Mold - Red Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet informationThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition system initially invented by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated website. The Zone diet is not expressly a fat reduction diet, although many people find that they really manage to lose a few pounds by following the zone diet. The 'science' claimed for the Zone Diet is that if you can control the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones produced naturally by your body), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a result puts your body in a balanced state which is far more healthful than it normally is, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'. Sears alleges that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is working at its most efficient and, as a result, does not build up fat. The main method of the zone diet is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to dose yourself with increased levels of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system invented by Dr. arthur agatston which stresses the consumption of "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed his dietary regime as an aid to patients with heart conditions, as a result of his analysis of scientific studies completed on other weight loss studies. Approved foods include, lean cuts of beef, skinless poultry, shellfish, provolone cheese, pistachios, nonfat yoghurt and certain vegetables, such as black beans, collard greens and water chestnuts. The Atkins’ Diet Although it originated back in the 1960s, the famous atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systms over the last few years. Although not accepted by all scientists, it allows weight loss whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that are not normally available to dieters, such as lamb and hard cheeses. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. Because of this, it is known as a high protein, low carb, nutrition system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. |
