The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet invented by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that dieters should eat "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston invented the south beach diet for people who have heart disease, based on his analysis of scientific studies on other weight loss systems.
Approved foods include, lean beef, turkey breast, seafood, feta cheese, pistachios, lowfat yoghurt and certain vegetables, like split peas, cabbage and mushrooms.


The Atkins’ Diet
Originating way back in the 1960s, the famous atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last decade. Popular with many famous celebrities, it supposedly allows weight loss whilst still eating many of the foods you love, for example meat and cheeses.
With this diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate, high protein, nutrition and weightloss system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic of the atkins diet is that even though our bodies use both fats and carbs to transform into energy, it is the carbs which are burned primarily. If we reduce your intake of carbs, we will utilise our fat and we will lose weight. Although inviting, this theory is divisive, not all researchers agree and some even believe it is often risky.
