The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a weight loss system created by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that one should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston developed the south beach diet for people who have heart disease, as a result of his detailed study of scientific research completed on other dietary studies.
"good" foods include, lean beef, chicken breast, shellfish, feta cheese, pecan halves, eggs and certain vegetables, like green beans, celery and sprouts.


Low calorie diet

Put simply, a low calorie weight loss regime depends on the fact that if you want to diet successfully, the important thing to injest less calories than your body requires.

What is a calorie?
The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. The calorie is the the energy required to increase the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1 degree centigrade at normal atmospheric pressure. If a food contains more calories, then it will provide your body with a larger amount of energy when your body digests it.

Low calorie food types include boiled potatoes, cucumbers, guava, lean ham, and bamboo shoots.
