Diet Chicken Livers En Brochette Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Types of dietThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system first detailed by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated website. The Zone diet isn’t expressly a fat reduction diet, however many people claim that they reduce a few pounds by following it. The main theory of the Zone Diet is that if you can control the levels of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, as a consequence puts one's body in a state of equilibrium which is much more wholesome than normal, known as the 'zone'. Sears holds the theory that a body that is in 'the zone' is working at its most efficient and, as a result, doesn't need to convert surplus energy to fat. The key method of the system is to maintain the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure you get plenty of Omega 3 and omega 6. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system started by Miami, florida-area cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that dieters should be eating "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Doctor agatston developed his system for people who have cardiac problems, as a result of his detailed study of scientific studies completed on other dietary studies. Examples of good foods include, veal cutlets, skinless poultry, prawns, fat-free cheeses, peanuts, lowfat milk and some vegatables, such as chickpeas, broccoli and snow peas. The Glycaemic Index Diet The glycaemic index diet is based around the gi (or glycaemic index), a list showing foods and a score illustrating the speed that the glucose and energy in the food type gets transformed to glucose in the dieters system. The theory is that slow acting food types (ie those food types with a low Gi number), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and help you to reduce your consumption of food without starving yourself. It is also extremely useful for diabetes sufferers, as the low GI types of food are helpful in controlling rises in blood sugar levels. |
