Directions

1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 md Bell Pepper -- chopped
3 cloves Garlic -- minced
16 oz Black Beans -- drained
16 oz Tomato Sauce
16 oz Stewed Tomatoes -- Mexican
: Style
1 c Picante Sauce -- med. hot
1 ts Ground Cumin
1/2 ts Garlic Salt
8 Corn Tortillas
1/2 c Red Onions -- chopped
1/2 c ripe olives
1 c nonfat cheddar cheese --
: shredded
1/4 ts Onion Powder
1/4 ts Garlic Powder
: Lettuce -- shredded
: fat-free sour cream
: Fresh Tomato -- chopped

Brown meat with pepper, onion and garlic; drain. Add beans, tomato sauce,
stewed tomatoes, picante sauce, cumin, garlic salt, and garlic powder and
onion powder. Simmer 15 minutes. Spoon small amount of meat mixture in 13x9
baking dish. Top with tortillas. Top with half the remaining meat mixture;
sprinkle with cheese and olives. Repeat (except for cheese). Cover tightly
with aluminum foil. Bake at 350" for 20 minutes. Remove foil and top with
remaining cheese. Bake uncovered for 5 minutes. Top with lettuce, tomato,
sour cream and additional picante sauce.

The Atkins’ Diet
Originating way back in the 1960s, the popular atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it enables weight loss whilst still eating many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, like fatty meat and cheeses.
Unlike other diets, with the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. Because of this, it is known as a low carb/high protein, nutrition and weightloss system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
With the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a result, olive oil.

The logic of the atkins diet is that if we eat less carbs, our bodies will burn up our stored fat and we will become thinner




The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet plan created by Cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should be eating "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston invented the south beach diet for people who have cardiac problems, as a result of his analysis of scientific research completed on other weight loss studies.
"good" foods include, canadian bacon, chicken breast, prawns, parmesan cheese, peanuts, nonfat yoghurt and some vegatables, such as butter beans, broccoli and snow peas.


The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a nutrition and weightloss system initially suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated website. The Zone diet is not specifically a fat reduction diet, but many followers believe that they really manage to lose a few pounds by following this system.
The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you manage to limit the secretion of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, in turn puts one's body in a state of balance that is an awful lot more healthy than it normally is, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'.
Sears alleges that if you get into this 'zone', your body is working at its most efficient and, as a consequence, does not build up fat.
The key procedure of the zone system is to keep tight control over the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to make sure your diet has large amounts of Omega 3 and omega 6.
