Foods rich in flavonoids
(inlcudes garlic, fennel, scarlet runner bean and coriander)

The flavonoids found in these types of food are believed to be good in fighting cancer.
Researchers researching the properties of flavonoids believe that they might also have most other health benefits, including, but not limited to, anti-allergic and antitumor capabilities.
The majority of these are also good for weight loss, so should be included in every weight loss program.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet invented by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should be eating "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston developed his dietary regime for people who have cardiac problems, as a consequence of his detailed study of scientific studies completed on other diets.
Examples of good foods include, lean beef, chicken breast, oysters, cottage cheese, pistachios, eggs and some vegatables, like asparagus, lettuce and spinach.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.
"Walter Savage Landor"

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
Phillip C. McGraw
