The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index weight loss program is based around the gi (or glycaemic index), a list of food types and a score illustrating the rapidity that the glucose and energy in the food type gets changed to glucose in the dieters bloodstream. The claim is that long-acting types of food (ie those with a low Glycaemic score), will keep you feeling full for longer and help you to eat fewer food without starving yourself.
It's also extremeley effective for folk with diabetes, as the low GI types of food are beneficial in preventing rises in blood sugar amount.

Brassicas, Healthy superfoods that also help with your Dieting
(eg. Broccoli, Bok choy, Collard greens and Chinese cabbage)
Altthough not always popular with children, these vegetables are packed with vitamins (eg.folate and vit c), minerals (eg. potassium), fibre, chlorophyll, antioxidents, isothiocyanates, and indole-3-carbinol.

Over and above their numerous other health and weight loss benefits, these contain isothiocyanates, which are believed by scientists to reduce the risk of cancer.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
