Ingredients
3 egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
4 cup total cereal
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips if desir, ed
Directions
Heat oven to 325 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Beat egg
whites in large bowl until foamy. Gradually beat in sugar; continue
beating until very stiff and glossy. Fold in cereal and chocolate
chips. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto cookie sheet.
Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until golden brown. Store in airtight
container. Makes 3-1/2 dozen meringues. Printed in the November 26,

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet plan created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should be eating "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston invented his weight loss regime for people who have cardiac problems, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific research on other weight loss regimes. Approved foods include, veal cutlets, turkey bacon, prawns, low or fat free cheeses, pistachios, lowfat milk and some vegatables, like black beans, celery and snow peas. The low-cal diet Rather obviously, the low-cal diet is based on the fact that in order to reduce weight, the important thing to eat less calories than you need for exercise. So what is a calorie? The calorie is the unit used for measuring the amount of energy in food. A 'calorie' is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If your meal has higher calories, then it will will give you a larger amount of energy when your body digests it. Low-cal foods include cabbage, swede, grapefruit, low fat hot-dogs, and skimmed milk. Flavonoid superfoods (inlcudes onion, kohlrabi, kidney bean & coriander) The compounds known as flavonoids which are present in these types of food are thought to have properties in preventing cancer. Experts studying the medical effects of flavonoids think that they also have many other benefits to our wellbeing, including anti-asthma and antitumor powers. Most also have a low calorie count, so should be included in your diet system. |
