The Recipe Instructions
 

 

Ingredients

6 baking apples
6 california dried figs
1 lemon, sliced
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
6 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick


Directions

Bring sugar and water to a boil. Add lemon rind and spices. Core
apples and place in baking dish or skillet. Place figs around and
between apples. Pour spiced syrup over all and cover. Bake or simmer
gently, basting occasionally, until apples are tender and syrup
thickened. Then serve each apple topped with a plump juicy fig, to 6
lucky people.

The brassicas, Healthy superfoods that aid Your diet

Even though there is not enough, real proof present, allyl sulphides are also thought by many experts to reduce problems with colds, sterilization and fatigue.

Foods containing allyl sulfides are low in calories, so you should add them to your diet system.



The Atkins’ Diet
Although it originated back in the 1960s, the atkins diet is still widely used today. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it allows fat reduction whilst still eating many foods that are not normally available to dieters, like lamb and butter.
Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you eat protein and fat, avoiding carbohydrates almost completely. Because of this, it is known as a low carb/high protein, weight loss regime.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including, but not limited to, cereals and pasta made from white flour.
On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are still nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish & poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter & olive oil.
