Foods containing allyl sulfides
( includes pickled shallots, white onions and green onion)

The onion, leek and garlic family of foods is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe might be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer.
Although there is too little scientific proof obtainable, allyl sulphides are also thought to reduce symptoms with antiinflammatory effect, sterilization and diabetes.

Foods containing allyl sulfides also help you lose weight, so should be included in your diet.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet created by Cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that dieters should be eating "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Agatston developed his weight loss system for his cardiac patients, as a result of his detailed analysis of scientific studies completed on other dietary studies.
Examples of good foods include, lean beef, turkey breast, shellfish, parmesan cheese, pistachio nuts, eggs and certain vegetables, such as green beans, eggplant and sprouts.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
