The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet system started by Dr. arthur agatston, a cardiologist from miami, usa, which encourages that dieters should be eating "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed his dietary regime for his cardiac patients, as a consequence of his detailed study of scientific research on other weight loss systems. Good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey breast, shrimp, parmesan cheese, pecan halves, nonfat milk and some vegatables, like kidney beans, cauliflower and water chestnuts. Foods containing allyl sulfides ( includes eschalot, white onions and spring onions) The alliaceae family of vegetables is high in allyl sulphides, a chemical which experts believe may be linked to a reduced risk of stomach and colon cancer. Although there is not enough, scientific evidence at hand, allyl sulfides are also thought by many experts to aid in blood circulation, high blood pressure and physical exhaustion. Foods containing allyl sulfides also help you lose weight, so should be included in every diet system. |
