Ingredients
MICROWAVE FOR 5 MINS
6 oz pitted dates
1/2 cup water
REMAINING INGREDIENTS
6 each egg whites
5 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup flour
Directions
Folks--your guess is as good as mine as to how, exactly, to make
these, as well as the number of servings (I took a stab at it).
Was downloading my packet yesterday, when I heard them talking about
this recipe on the TV and quickly ran for paper & pencil. There were
no real clear directions given (or I missed them) so you're on your
own!
Cook the dates and water in a microwave for 5 minutes. Stir. That's
all I heard. I also don't know exactly how many servings, but they
clearly said each brownie was only 110 calories and 0.5g fat.

Diet Brownies (Fat Free) Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Weight loss systemsThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system primarily invented by Barry Sears in a series of books and publications. The Zone diet isn’t specifically a weight reduction diet, although many zone diet followers discover that they really reduce weight by following it. The 'science' claimed for the Zone Diet is that if one can gain control of the levels of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, in turn puts your body in a balanced state which is much, much more wholesome than other diets, which is known as the zone. Sears claims that if you get into this 'zone', your body is working at its best and, because of this, does not build up fat. The key procedure of the zone system is to monitor and control the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure you get increased amounts of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi index nutrition system is based around the glycaemic index, a chart showing foods and a score illustrating the rapidity that the carbs in the food type gets changed to glucose in your bloodstream. The claim is that slow release foods (ie with a low Glycaemic score), suppress your appetite for longer and mean that you can cut down on food without feeling you are missing out. It's also extremeley effective for diabetes sufferers, as the low GI types of food are useful in controlling rises in blood sugar levels. The Atkins’ Diet Although it originated back in the 1960s, the famous atkins diet is still widely used today. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it supposedly allows weight reduction whilst still eating many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, such as fatty meat and hard cheeses. On the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, diet. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a consequence, olive oil. |
