The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet plan created by Cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages the consumption of "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Doctor agatston invented this diet for people who have cardiac problems, based on his detailed study of scientific research completed on other dietary studies. "good" foods include, lean beef, chicken breast, prawns, low or fat free cheeses, pistachio nuts, nonfat milk and certain vegetables, such as green beans, cucumbers and spinach. Flavonoid superfoods (inlcudes olive oil, brussels sprouts, scarlet runner bean & basil) The compounds known as flavonoids which are present in these types of food are believed to have properties as cancer fighters. Experts who have been studying the effects of flavonoids think they may well have many other health benefits, amongst them, antiviral and antioxidant activities.. A good number also help you lose weight, so should be included in every weight loss program. |
