The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet plan created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that one should consume "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Doctor agatston invented this diet for people who have cardiac problems, as a consequence of his detailed study of scientific studies completed on other weight loss studies.
Examples of good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey breast, shrimp, ricotta cheese, pistachio nuts, lowfat milk and some vegatables, like split peas, celery and snow peas.


The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a weight loss program primarily devised by Barry Sears in a series of books and publications. The Zone diet is not particularly a fat reduction diet, but many people believe that they manage to lose body weight by following this system.
The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you control the secretion of two important hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids which, in turn puts the body in a balanced state that is much more wholesome than other diets, which is known as the zone.
Sears alleges that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is working at its best and, as a consequence, doesn't build up fat.
The most important process of the diet is to control the precise ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get plenty of Omega 3 and omega 6.
