Diet Black Bean Hummus Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Types of dietThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet system invented by Miami-based cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that dieters should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Doctor agatston invented this diet for people who have cardiac problems, as a consequence of his detailed study of scientific studies on other weight loss regimes. Examples of good foods include, lean beef, turkey breast, fish and shellfish, parmesan cheese, almonds, lowfat or nonfat milk and some vegatables, like green beans, eggplant and spinach. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi (or glycaemic index) nutrition and weight loss system is linked to the glycaemic index, a list showing food types and a score representing the ease that the carbs in the food type gets transformed to sugar in your system. The theory is that long-acting types of food (ie those food types with a low Glycaemic index score), keep you feeling full longer and help to reduce your consumption of food without feeling you are missing out. It is also especially beneficial for people with diabetes, as the low GI types of food are beneficial in minimizing rises in glucose amount. |
