Diet Beef Burgers With Feta And Tomato Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet informationThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system started by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that one should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston invented his weight loss system for people who have cardiac problems, as a result of his detailed analysis of scientific data on other weight loss studies. Approved foods include, lean cuts of beef, chicken breast, shrimp, provolone cheese, pistachio nuts, lowfat or nonfat milk and some vegatables, such as lentils, cucumbers and mushrooms. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi (or glycaemic index) nutrition and weight loss system is reliant on the glycaemic index, a list of types of food and a score representing the ease with which the energy of the food gets changed to glucose in the dieters blood stream. The theory is that slow acting food types (ie those food types with a low Glycaemic index score), suppress your appetite and mean that you can eat less food without feeling hungry. It's also very beneficial for diabetics, as the low GI foods are useful in minimizing rises in glucose levels. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system first suggested by Barry Sears in a series of books. The Zone diet isn’t expressly a weight reduction diet, nevertheless many 'zone dieters' claim that they lose a few pounds when following it. The science behind the Zone Diet is that if one can gain control of the secretion of insulin and glucogen (both hormones), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a result puts one's body in a state of equilibrium which is far more healthy than other diets, this is referred to as 'the zone'. Sears alleges that when in the 'zone', your body is much more efficient and, as a consequence, does not need to convert surplus energy to fat. The most important process of the zone system is to maintain the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to take increased amounts of Omega 3 fish oils. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets today. Popular with many famous celebrities, it allows weight loss whilst encouraging you to eat many foods that would not be part of a normal diet, for example meat and hard cheeses. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, avoiding carbohydrates almost completely. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate/high protein, diet. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and, as a consequence, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. |
