The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index diet is based around the gi index, a list of food types and a score representing the ease that the glucose in the food gets converted to sugar in your system. The believe is that long-acting food types (ie those with a low Glycaemic score), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and help you to eat fewer food without feeling hungry.
It is also extremely efficient for diabetics, as the low GI types of food are beneficial in managing increases in blood sugar secretion.

The low calorie diet

In simple terms, a low calorie weight loss regime is based on the fact that if you intend to lose weight, the important thing to take in less calories than your body normally needs.

So what is a calorie?
The calorie is a unit for measuring food's ability to produce heat and energy. A calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree celsius. If your meal contains more calories, then it will gives you a larger amount of energy when your body burns it.

Low-cal food types include fresh green beans, tomato, guava, low fat hot-dogs, and low-fat cheese.

Foods containing lycopene
(includes apricots, papaya & tomato)

The chemical lypcopene is a natural coloring compound and member of the carotenid family of phytochemicals. Lycopene is accountable for the deep red color of many food types.

Intrestingly, unlike numerous nutritional compounds, it is not damaged during the cooking process, but is observably strengthened by being cooked.

. Lycoprene's most important value is that it serves as an antioxidant and is thought to help lower the risks of cancer.

Lycopene is the most efficacious fighter of singlet oxygen, which is connected with aging of the skin. It is also thought by nutritionalists to prevent the growth of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
