1 dash freshly ground pepper
3 tbsp lemon mayonnaise
1/2 tsp hot pepper, hot prepared
Directions
Finely dice the eggs; mix thouroughly with all other ingredients.
Cover and chill for at least 1 hour or until flavors are well
blended. Mound on crisp lettuce, garnished with a dash of paprika,
and serve as a salad. This also may be used as a spread for crackers.
(I would use for a sandwish to go with a salad on a hot, hot day.)

Diet informationThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes the consumption of "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston developed his weight loss system for people who have cardiac problems, based on his detailed analysis of scientific data on other weight loss systems. Examples of good foods include, lean cuts of beef, turkey breast, clams, ricotta cheese, peanut butter, lowfat milk and certain vegetables, like asparagus, collard greens and turnips. The Glycaemic Index Diet The gi index nutrition and weightloss system is linked to the gi index, a list of types of food and a score illustrating the ease with which the carbs in the food type gets transformed to glucose in the dieters bloodstream. The believe is that slow acting food types (ie with a low Gi score), keep you feeling full longer and help you to cut down on food without being miserabl;e. It is also very beneficial for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI foods are beneficial in controlling surges in blood glucose levels. The Atkins’ Diet Now nearly 5 decades old, the atkins diet is still widely used today. Popular with many famous celebrities, it allows weight loss whilst allowing foods that are normally considered bad for diets, like lamb and butter. With the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that must be avoided. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate/high protein, diet. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and olive oil. The Atkins’ Diet Theory The 'science' behind the atkins diet is that even though our bodies use both fats and carbs to transform into glucose and energy, it is the carbs that are burned initially. If we cut down on carbs, our bodies will deplete the fat we already carry and we will lose weight. This is the bit that is contentious, not all researchers accept this as true and some even believe it might be dangerous. |
