Diet Banana Oat Smoothie Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet informationThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet invented by Cardiologist arthur agatston which encourages that one should consume "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston invented his dietary regime for people who have cardiac problems, as a consequence of his detailed analysis of scientific studies on other weight loss regimes. Good foods include, lean beef, skinless poultry, shrimp, mozzarella cheese, pistachios, lowfat or nonfat milk and certain vegetables, such as black beans, lettuce and spinach. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weightloss system primarily advocated by Barry Sears in a number of books. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a fat reduction diet, nevertheless many zone diet fans find that they actually lose body weight by following the zone diet. The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you can limit the levels of insulin and glucogen (both hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, in turn puts your body in a balanced state which is a lot more healthy than normal, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone". Sears states that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is perfectly balanced and, as a result, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The key procedure of the diet is to control the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to take increased levels of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. The Glycaemic Index Diet The glycaemic index nutrition and weightloss system is linked to the gi (or glycaemic index), a list showing types of food and a score representing the ease with which the glucose in the food type gets transformed to glucose in the dieters blood stream. The believe is that slow release food types (ie those food types with a low Gi number), suppress your appetite for longer and mean that you can reduce your intake of food without feeling you are always hungry. It is also extremely beneficial for individuals with diabetes, as the low GI foods are helpful in reducing rises in glucose secretion. |
