Diet Banana Mint Slushes Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet typesThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a diet primarily invented by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a weight loss diet, however many people claim that they reduce body weight by following it. The main scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can limit the amount of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids which, in turn puts the body in a state of balance that is much, much more healthy than usual, which is known as the zone. Sears claims that when your body is in this 'zone' it is perfectly balanced and, as a result, doesn't need to build up stores of fat. The main procedure of the zone diet is to control the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get increased amounts of Omega 3 and omega 6. The South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet system created by Dr. arthur agatston which stresses that one should consume "good carbs" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Agatston invented his system for his cardiac patients, based on his analysis of scientific data on other weight loss regimes. Good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey bacon, oysters, low or fat free cheeses, peanuts, lowfat yoghurt and some vegatables, such as black beans, cucumbers and mushrooms. |
