Ingredients
1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, divided
1/2 cup coconut, unsweetened shredd.
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup mashed banana (3 small)
3 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp liquid honey
Directions
Suggestion: reserve 1/4 cup flour. Low fat recipes have a tendency
to be too dry. Bake about 35 min in 9x5 loaf pan or muffin cups if
8x4 pan not available.
Mix together 1 1/4 c. of flour, coconut, baking powder, baking soda
and salt in a bowl. Combine banana, oil and honey. Stir into flour
mixture quickly but gently until just combined. Add part of the
remaining 1/4 cup flour if needed. Batter will be lumpy.
Spread batter evenly in a lightly greased (and/or waxed paper lined)
8x4 loaf pan. Bake at 350 F about 45 min until tester inserted in
center comes out clean. Cool 10 min in pan. Turn out of pan, cool
completely on rack. Wrap in waxed paper and store overnight before
slicing.

Weight loss systemsThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a weight loss system created by Florida-based cardiologist arthur agatston which emphasizes that one should eat "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Doctor agatston invented his weight loss system as an aid to patients with heart conditions, based on his detailed study of scientific data on other nutritional studies. Good foods include, veal cutlets, turkey breast, fish, ricotta cheese, peanut butter, nonfat milk and some vegatables, such as asparagus, cabbage and sprouts. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a diet primarily created by Barry Sears in a number of books and publications. The Zone diet is not distinctly a fat reduction diet, although some people believe that they actually manage to lose body weight by following it. The main theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you manage to control the secretion of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which, as a result puts one's body in a state of balance which is a lot more healthy than usual, this is referred to as 'the zone'. Sears states that if you get into this 'zone', your body is working at its most efficient and, as a result, does not build up layers of fat. The most important process of the zone diet is to control the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure your diet has increased amounts of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. |
