The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi index nutrition and weightloss system is reliant on the glycaemic index, a list of food types and an indicator of the ease with which the energy of the food type gets changed to glucose in your body. The claim is that long-acting types of food (ie those foods with a low Glycaemic index score), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and mean that you can cut down on food without feeling hungry.

The South Beach Diet
The South Beach diet is a diet system started by Miami, florida-area cardiologist arthur agatston which stresses that one should consume "good carbs" instead of "bad carbohydrates" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats"
Dr. agatston invented this diet as an aid to patients with heart conditions, based on his detailed analysis of scientific data on other weight loss regimes.
Examples of good foods include, canadian bacon, turkey bacon, fish, mozzarella cheese, peanuts, nonfat yoghurt and certain vegetables, like chickpeas, broccoli and snow peas.
