The Glycaemic Index Diet
The gi (or glycaemic index) weight loss program is based on the gi index, a list of foods and a score illustrating the rapidity with which the glucose and energy of the food gets converted to sugar in your body. The theory is that long-acting food types (ie those foods with a low Gi score), keep you feeling full longer and mean that you can consume fewer food without feeling hungry.
It's also very useful for people with diabetes, as the low GI food types are helpful in reducing rises in glucose amount.

The Zone Diet
The Zone diet is a diet system first created by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t particularly a fat reduction diet, nevertheless many people claim that they lose weight by following it.
The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to control the secretion of insulin and glucogen (two hormones produced naturally by your body), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, in turn puts one's body in a state of equilibrium that is a lot more healthy than usual, which is known as the zone.
Sears states that a body that is in 'the zone' is working at its most efficient and, because of this, does not convert energy to unsightly fat.
The most valuable procedure of the zone diet is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure you get high levels of Omega 3 fish oils.

Superfoods containing lycopene
(includes grapefruit, red bell peppers and tomato sauce)

Lycopene is a natural compound used to color foods and part of the phytochemical group known as 'carotenids'. It is responsible for the dark red hue of some foods.

Unlike most other vitamins, lycopene is not damaged if it is cooked, but is truly made more effective by being heated.

. Lycoprene's most valuable nutritional contribution is that it acts as an antioxidant and appears to help to reduce the probabilty of developing cancer.

Lycopene is the strongest fighter of singlet oxygen, which is linked with aging of the skin. It is also thought by many researchers to block the progression of diseases affecting arterial blood vessels.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
