Ingredients
1 cup apple juice
2 oz dried apricot
2 oz dried cranberry
2 oz white raisins
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp honey
4 medium Red Delicious apples
Directions
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
In a small pot, bring the apple juice to a simmer. Add the dried fruit and
steep until the fruit is tender, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove the fruit
and combine with brown sugar and honey.
Cut the apples in half and remove the core using a spoon or melon baller.
Make sure all the seeds have been removed, but that you leave the bottom
and top of the apple intact to keep the fruit from falling out.
Spoon the fruit mixture into the centers of the apples. Bake in the oven
for 30 to 35 minutes, or until tender.

Weight loss systemsThe South Beach Diet The South Beach diet is a diet plan started by Dr. arthur agatston, a cardiologist from miami, usa, which stresses that one should consume "good carbohydrates" instead of "bad carbs" and "good fats" instead of "bad fats" Dr. agatston developed his weight loss system for his cardiac patients, as a result of his detailed analysis of scientific studies completed on other weight loss regimes. "good" foods include, lean beef, turkey bacon, clams, cottage cheese, almonds, lowfat milk and certain vegetables, such as artichokes, collard greens and snow peas. The Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition system primarily suggested by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an accompanying website. The Zone diet isn’t particularly a weight loss diet, however many followers believe that they seem to lose a few pounds when following it. The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if you gain control of the levels of insulin and glucogen (two hormones produced naturally by your body), then your body releases eicosanoids which, as a consequence puts one's body in a state of balance which is much, much more wholesome than normal, which followers of the diet, refer to as '"he zone". Sears alleges that a body that is in 'the zone' is working at its best and, because of this, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The most important procedure of the zone system is to maintain the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to take increased amounts of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. |
