Ingredients
4 slice bread, your choise
1 egg, beaten with fork
2 tbsp skim milk
1/4 tsp salt
2 dash paprika
4 slice (1-oz each) american cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Prepare shallow pan with vegetables
pan-coating. Toast bread on one side only. Combine beaten egg, milk,
salt, and paprika; mix well and pour into a pie plate. Dip bread in
this mixture quickly until all is absorbed. Place 2 slices bread
toasted side down in preapared pan and cover each with 1 slice
cheese. Place remaining 2 slices bread toasted side p on top, then
cover with remaining 2 slices cheese. Bake 10-12 minutes.
Food Exchange per serving: 2 STARCH EXCHANGES + 2 HIGH-FAT EXCHANGES
+ 1/2 FAT EXCHANGE. Low-sodium diets. Omit salt. Substitue Low-sodium
cheese.

Types of dietThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a diet first detailed by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet isn’t exactly a weight loss diet, nevertheless many followers find that they seem to lose a few pounds by following it. The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to gain control of the secretion of insulin and glucogen (two hormones), then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, in turn puts your body in a state of balance which is a lot more healthful than it normally is, known as the 'zone'. Sears holds the theory that if you get into this 'zone', your body is working at its best and, because of this, doesn't convert energy to unsightly fat. The key procedure of the zone system is to monitor and control the precise ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to take plenty of Omega 3 fish oils. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the 1960s, the atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systems over the last few years. Popular with many famous celebrities, it enables fat reduction whilst still eating foods that are normally considered bad for diets, like meat and butter. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you are supposed to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that are on the banned list. Because of this, it is known as a high protein, low carb, nutrition and weightloss system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a result, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a consequence, olive oil. The Atkins’ Diet Theory The 'science' behind the atkins diet is that if we cut down on carbs, we will deplete our fat and we will achieve weight loss The low calorie diet Put simply, the low calorie diet says that if you are going to reduce weight, it is important to reduce your intake of calories than you use. Definition of a calorie? A calorie is a unit of measurement for energy. A food calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 kilogram of water 1 degree centigrade. If a food type has more calories, then it will provide your body with more energy when it is eaten. Foods low in calories include brussels sprouts, mushrooms, grapefruit, beef, and low-fat cheese. |
