Diet types

The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index nutrition and weight loss system is linked to the glycaemic index, a list showing foods and an indicator of the speed that the glucose in the food gets transformed to glucose in your bloodstream. The theory is that slow acting foods (ie with a low Glycaemic index score), will keep you feeling full for longer and help to reduce your consumption of food without feeling you are always hungry.
It's also extremely efficient for sufferers from diabetes, as the low GI types of food are beneficial in managing surges in blood sugar amount.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
Phillip C. McGraw
