Diet Baked Apples And Mincemeat Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Types of dietThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weight loss system first detailed by Barry Sears in a series of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet is not expressly a fat reduction diet, but many people claim that they manage to lose a few pounds when following it. The main scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to limit the amount of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids (anti-inflamatory chemicals) which puts the body in a state of balance that is much more wholesome than it normally is, known as the 'zone'. Sears believes that a body that is in 'the zone' is much more efficient and, because of this, doesn't build up fat. The most important process of the system is to monitor and control the precise ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure you get high levels of Omega 6 and omega 3 fish oils. |
