Diet types

The Atkins’ Diet
Developed by dr. robert atkins in the 1960s, the popular atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systems over the last few years. Popular with many famous celebrities, it enables fat reduction but still allows you to eat foods that are normally considered bad for diets, eg fatty meat and eggs.
With the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is carbohydrates that need to be avoided. It is often referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, nutrition system.
With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour.
On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat continues to be nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and, as a result, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a result, olive oil.

The Atkins’ Diet Theory
The logic of the atkins diet is that even if our bodies use both fats and carbohydrates to transform into energy, it is the carbohydrates that are burned initially. If we reduce your consumption of carbs, our bodies will consume the fat we already carry and we will become thinner. This theory is controversial, not all researchers agree and some experts think it can be unsafe.

"A good cook is the peculiar gift of the gods. He must be a perfect creature from the brain to the palate, from the palate to the finger's end.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
