Diet Apricot Bread - Beadles Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Diet typesThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weightloss system first devised by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet is not specifically a fat reduction diet, but many followers claim that they actually reduce weight when following it. The main scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you can gain control of the amount of the hormones 'insulin' and 'glucogen', then anti-inflammatory chemicals are released which, as a consequence puts the body in a balanced state that is more healthful than normal, this is referred to as 'the zone'. Sears believes that if you get into this 'zone', your metabolism is much more efficient and, as a consequence, does not need to convert surplus energy to fat. The most important technique of the zone system is to maintain the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to ensure you get increased levels of Omega 3 and omega 6. |
