Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2/3 cup apple juice concentrate
1/2 cup applesauce
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 large apples, peeled/chopped
1 creamy topping
1/2 cup cream, heavy
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon, ground
Directions
Preheat oven to 375. Beat butter in large bowl until creamy. Blend in
eggs, juice, and applesauce. Combine dry ingredients. Gradually add
to egg mixture, beating until well blended. Stir in appls. Spread
batter evenly into greased 8" square baking pan. Bake 20-25 minutes,
until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack. Cut into squares. Serve warm or at room
temperature, with Creamy Topping if desired.
Creamy Topping: Beat cream in small bowl at high speed of electric
mixer until soft peaks form. Beat in vanilla and cinnamon until stiff
peaks form.

The low-cal diet
Rather obviously, a low calorie weight loss regime says that if you plan to achieve weight loss, then you have to injest less calories than you burn up. What is a calorie? The calorie is the unit used for measuring the amount of energy in food. A food calorie is the the amount of energy required to raise one cubic centimeter of water by one degree centigrade. If a food contains more calories, then it will will give you more energy to use when your body converts it. Examples of low calorie foods include watercress, tomatoes, guava, ground turkey, and white eggs. Flavonoid rich foods (inlcudes olive oil, asparagus, scarlet runner bean and cayenne) The flavonoids found in these fruit and vegetables are believed to be helpful in preventing cancer. Nutritionalists who have been studying the effects of flavonoids believe they may well have numerous health giving capabilities, amongst them, anti-allergic and antitumor properties. The majority of these also help you lose weight, so are ideal for including in your weight loss program. |
