Diet Apple Sauce Wheat Germ Cake Recipe brought to you by Diet Recipes To-Go
Types of dietThe Zone Diet The Zone diet is a nutrition and weightloss system initially created by Barry Sears in a number of books, publications and an associated web site. The Zone diet is not exactly a fat reduction diet, but many followers find that they seem to lose weight by following the zone diet. The supposed science behind the Zone Diet is that if one can manage to gain control of the secretion of the hormones 'insulin' and 'glucogen', then your body releases eicosanoids which, as a result puts your body in a state of balance which is an awful lot more wholesome than it normally is, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'. Sears claims that if you get into this 'zone', your body is perfectly balanced and, because of this, doesn't build up layers of fat. The main technique of the diet is to control the ratio of carbs to proteins, and to make sure your diet has high levels of Omega 3 fish oils. |
