Ingredients
2 cans sliced apples
1 drained (comstock)
2 tsp sweet 'n low
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp butter or marg.
1 (optional)
2 tbsp flour
1 cup crushed unsweetened
1 pineapple packed in
1 own juice. do not
1 drain.
1 your favorite
1 pie crust
Directions
In large bowl combine apple slices and all ingredients except butter.
Mix together. Pour into unbaked bottom crust. Dot with butter. Top
with vented or lattice crust. Bake 425 degrees F for 15 minutes.
REduce heat to 350 degrees F and continue baking 25 to 35 minutes or
until crust is golden brown.
The pineapple used has no sugar added. It is the size can that looks
like a tuna can...about 7 or 8 oz.

The scientific theory behind the Zone Diet is that if you can limit the levels of two key hormones, (insulin and glucogen), then your body releases eicosanoids which, as a result puts your body in a balanced state which is much more healthy than usual, which, not surprisingly, is known as 'the zone'. Sears states that if you get into this 'zone', your body is much more efficient and, because of this, does not need to convert surplus energy to fat. The key method of the system is to maintain the ratio of carbohydrates to proteins, and to ensure your diet has increased levels of Omega 3 fish oils. The Atkins’ Diet First invented by doctor atkins in the sixities, the popular atkins diet has been one of the most popular weight loss systems over the last few years. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it claims to allow fat reduction whilst allowing foods that are normally considered bad for diets, like meat and cheeses. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet you are encouraged to eat meat and fat, avoiding carbohydrates almost completely. Because of this, it is known as a low carbohydrate/high protein, nutrition system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. On the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods such as meat, fish and poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a consequence, olive oil.
