The Glycaemic Index Diet
The glycaemic index diet system is based around the glycaemic index, a chart showing foods and a score representing the ease that the glucose and energy in the food gets transformed to glucose in your body. The believe is that slow acting food types (ie those food types with a low Gi number), keep you satisfied for a longer period of time and mean that you can take in less food without feeling you are missing out.
It is also extremely effective for diabetics, as the low GI food types are helpful in preventing increases in blood sugar secretion.

Brassicas, Superfoods that aid Your diet
(eg. Cauliflower, Celery, Mustard greens and Napa)
Vegetablesi in the brassica family are rich in vitamins (eg.vitamin c), minerals (eg. potassium and selenium), fibre, chlorophyll, antioxidents, and indole-3-carbinol.

In addition to their numerous other health giving properties, the isothiocyanates in these are believed by many to help reduce the cancer risk.

"A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit."

"Reality check: you can never, ever, use weight loss to solve problems that are not related to your weight. At your goal weight or not, you still have to live with yourself and deal with your problems. You will still have the same husband, the same job, the same kids, and the same life. Losing weight is not a cure for life"
